Department: LeafGuard Central Illinois Sales

Reports To: LeafGuard Sales Manager, LeafGuard Branch General Manager

Summary: Presents Beldon Home Solutions and LeafGuard products directly to Homeowners and Home Improvement businesses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

  • Represents Company and products with a focus on integrity, quality, and service to our customers
  • Responsible for timely presentations, accurate estimates, and thorough detailed documentation
  • Follows instruction and directives as provided by the Sales Manager, General Manager, and Corporate
  • Thoroughly understands, practices, and adheres to the 10-Step sales training process
  • Thorough understanding of the Company story, products, processes, and installation techniques; becomes the expert
  • Maintains a professional image, i.e.; proper clothing, vehicle maintenance
  • Maintains a continuing focus on self-improvement in the sales process
  • Augments sales from company provided leads through contributing self-generated leads and referrals
  • Responsible for proper documentation of sales process paperwork; contracts; drawing; financial applications
  • Attends and participates during sales and general meetings
  • Responsible for maintaining sales presentation products and necessary forms and documentation
  • Ability to interface with General Manager, Sales Manager, Production Manager, and Office Administration
  • Ensures adherence to company administrative policies and procedures
  • Maintains confidentiality with proprietary Company information as well as customer information
  • Knows the formal and informal goals, standards, policies, and procedures which may include some familiarity of other departments and is sensitive to the interrelationship of both people and functions within the organization
  • Availability to work evenings during the week and Saturdays as required
  • Responsible for thorough communications between customers and facility management

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales experience

Language Skills:

  • Ability to present information and speak effectively before customers, managers, and employees of the organization
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries and complaints from customers
  • Above average reading and writing skills required
  • Strong professional phone and excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to measure, draw, calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, proportions, and percentages
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations to practical situations

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form
  • Able to retain and protect confidential information

Computer Skills:

  • To perform this job successfully, a company provided i-Pad is provided with a basic understanding of operation
  • The individual should have knowledge of Internet software; PowerPoint, and Word Processing software

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current driver’s license

Other Skills and Abilities: Job requires a unique balance of sales and customer service skills

Summary: Represents our Company as an Installation Team Member

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

  • Responsible for helping on all areas of the installation including tear-off and clean-up
  • Responds positively to the direction of the Lead Installation Team Member
  • Learns installation processes of various products
  • Assists with pulling job parts
  • Maintains a focus on quality, customer service, and productivity
  • Maintains a professional image for all customers

Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies.

  • Teamwork – Responds to the instructions provided by the Lead Installation Team Member
  • Product Knowledge – Learns the various products and the proper installation methods
  • Skills –  Learns to use tools safely and efficiently utilizes materials

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

Education and /or Experience:

  • Basic reading and writing skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ladder-work installation experience essential, prior experience preferred in: Roofing; Outdoor Construction; Gutter Systems.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as job survey worksheets, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios to practical situations
  • Ability to read measuring device

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Computer Skills: Not essential for this position

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current driver’s license

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Job requires a unique balance of installation experience, team building, and management skills
  • Proficient or ability to learn the use of small hand tools, miter saws, brakes, and other tools appropriate for the job

Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team employees is particularly important in this role
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screening
  • Must be able to random drug screening
  • Must be able to supply their own hand tools or be able to purchase them before they are hired
  • Must have a reliable vehicle to get to and from the office
